Cots for Cats is currently just one person, me! My name is Kimberly and I started crocheting in 2021 and quickly became addicted. I found it helped me with anxiety and was almost a type of meditation. 

After getting the hang of crocheting I started making beds for our five rescue cats. I quickly made more beds than they could ever possibly use, and I realized I needed to find a place that could use the beds I made. I found local cat rescue groups and shelters that happily accept any cat beds I could make and sent off my first batch to them in early 2022.

I now continue to make the beds with yarn I purchase myself or donated by others.

About the Beds

The beds I typically make are made with two strands of Big Twist Value Yarn from JoAnn Fabrics. Other yarn can also be used, but if I am buying that is what I will get. I find it is the best value for the number of beds I can make with it. I always wait for one of their sales though!

I make two sizes, a small one that is suitable for kittens and young cats, and a larger one for an average-sized adult cat. I do take special requests for beds for a larger cat.
